The partnership will deploy a wave energy converter at NTOU’s Keelung facility, demonstrating clean power generation and commercial viability. Both organisations will collaborate on site selection, development, funding, and a local supply chain. This initiative strengthens Taiwan’s renewable energy ambitions, with leaders from both sides affirming their shared commitment to innovative, ocean-powered electricity solutions.

The WSE technology produces clean, sustainable electricity without the use of any oil or other contaminants. There are no moving parts in the water. The devices can be re-floated and towed to another location. This is an exciting development as waves are predictable, reliable and a naturally occurring infinite resource.
