King Island demonstration project assessment and validation reports

WSE has developed and proven a world leading technology that converts energy in ocean waves to emissions free electricity. The WSE technology was proven in a full-size system demonstration over a full range of ocean conditions in the harsh waters at King Island, Tasmania.

The project progressed from concept, detailed design and fabrication through installation, grid connection, long‑term operation and final decommissioning, providing a complete end‑to‑end track record. Each step was managed by the WSE team.

Notable institutions such as the United States Department of Energy (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory), the Australian Maritime College (University of Tasmania) and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (an Australian Commonwealth Government agency) have independently reviewed the completed demonstration project.
