The substructure of the UniWave200 unit was towed from Launceston to Bell Bay along the Tamar River on 22 October. The unit was moored at a deep water berth at Bell Bay, where it will undergo the final stage of construction that includes the attachment of the superstructure and unidirectional turbine. This final stage will also include the installation of the electrical control equipment.

The tow to Bell Bay, a distance of approximately 70 km, took several hours and was completed without incident. Once construction at Bell Bay is complete, the unit will be towed to Grassy Harbour on King Island for deployment.
